NRC #2 - Art on Paper

Almost 300 high-quality, and in certain cases even museum-quality artworks on paper - this is the result of our selection from the impressive flow of consignments we received.

In the upcoming auction we are offering, for instance, pieces also preserved at the Rijksmuseum (e.g. Jordaens), the Stedelijk Museum (e.g. Lucebert), the Lakenhal (e.g. Dumas) and an original study for a self-portrait of Jacques Villon that was on loan at the Van Gogh Museum a couple of years ago.

The collection spans over a long period from Nicholas Poussin (1594-1665) to Marlène Dumas (1953) and covers a wide range of art styles and media from original drawings and watercolours to lithographs and etchings.

Lot 62: Bhupen Khakhar. € 6.000 - 9.000. Realised: € 13.000.

Along with already mentioned Poussin, the auction 'Art on Paper' presents one-of-a-kind works of such significant artists as Floris Arntzenius, Marius Bauer, Bram Bogart, Johannes Bosboom, Dick Bruna, Kees van Dongen, Salomon Garf, Leo Gestel, Anton Heyboer, Floris Jespers, Jacob Maris, Carl-Henning Pedersen, Lodewijk Schelfhout, Jan Schoonhoven, Jan Sluijters, Willem Bastiaan Tholen, Jacques Villon and Maurice de Vlaminck.

Original prints on sale are by Alechinsky, Christo, Constant, Corneille, Hockney, Jongkind, Lucebert, Mankes, Raveel, Rooskens, Charley and Jan Toorop, Werkman, Willink, Witsen and many others, as well as photographs by Rineke Dijkstra and Kees Scherer, just to name a few.
